Aug. 19th, 2006 12:38 pmOkay, I've confined this to songs already on the computer 'cos I'm having a little trouble with uploading, to non-classical because I'd NEVER BE ABLE TO CHOOSE, and this list? Only applies today. My music tastes change about as often as my clothes. :D
In no particular order:
Blood Upon Copper by Seth Lakeman. I love this song so much because not only is it a completely ace song, it also calls Firefly to mind so vividly and with it the first time I saw Firefly which was at a London Millicon. I was eating stupid amounts of cheese, and it was amazing fun, just an all 'round fabulous night. Really happy memory.
Mr Brightside by the Killers. I didn't like this so much when I originally heard it but for some reason it just suddenly clicked and I couldn't listen to it in Cardiff without turning it up really loud and jumping on my bed. By the time I left, my mattress was fucked. XD
The Ocean by Peter Mulvey. It is just so lovely. Seriously.
Ghostwriter by RJD2, and not just because it was in Wimbledon. *grins* This song was really popular at the Buddha Chai Lounge which was right next to the fire tower I was working on at WOMAD, and they kept playing it at like 2am when it was absolutely bloody freezing and I was ten feet in the air and the only way to keep warm was to dance my happy little heart out. Good times, good times.
And, since if I had the chance I'd put pretty much everything up here, this last one gets in purely for being the most ear-wormy song ever for the last couple of days. Oh, and for the adorable faces Ben Lee pulls when he's singing. XD Catch My Disease by Ben Lee.
Doesn't help that I have no idea who's alive? :D Er... This'll take some investigation.
Sound II by Anthony Gormley, which is in the crypt of Winchester Cathedral. When you see it in context... Wow.
I've shown off Man Auf Einer Leiter a billion times, and to be honest I adore pretty much all of Quint Buchholz's stuff so. Turmbibliothek
Book Cover by
Temple of Honour. I have no idea who made it, but it's made entirely of cardboard I believe, so I assume the person's still alive. I just... it's so weird and intricate. I love looking at it.
Banksy's angel. *shrugs*
