I'm in love.


Not love love, because it really isn't possible for fandom to hurt me enough. But I'm in... maybe fourteen-year-old love with a fandom. I'm in first-date love, where you're not quite sure you know them and you're feeling your way around a little bit, but everything is slightly rose-tinted. That stage where you're not entirely sure it'll work out, but you've just got this really good feeling, and then you discover little things; just dropped into conversation and quite by chance but there're things you have in common and it makes your stomach fizz with the unvoiced squee of it. The kind of love where you discover how talented they are and you're almost blown away by it, the kind where quite by chance they mention that actually they do love all the same things as you do. The kind where even though you're still wondering whether anything will actually come of it you're idly wondering if, should you follow it back to its place, it'll make you tea, too.

Man. I should read fanfic more often.

Yes! SGA is such a fantastic fandom, it's unbelievable. The writers are all so damn good. I fell into the fandom around last Christmas, and spent about a week mainlining episodes while staring in complete awe at all the fic out there, because I really couldn't believe how freaking good some of it was. *hearts SGA so much*

But SG:1 is so much better! Daniel/Jack is just to die for, because they have that whole repressed-intellectual-in-love-with-an-arrogant-prick-who-actually-has-a-heart-of-gold factor that all my OTPs seem to share (Remus/Sirius, Aziraphale/Crowley...).

If you ever watch the show and like it, this is THE epic slash fanfic to read, (with SGA cameos!).

Hee. Oh, believe me, I have dozens of recs. Would you be more into comedy, angst, schmoopy romance, het, slash, anything?
