Sep. 10th, 2006 10:25 pmI just had Bigger in for a flying visit, which was utterly delightful - I've not seen her in months, and she's as grand as ever, really enthusiastic about a Buddhist speaker she'd gone to see yesterday. We showed each other our photos, talked about linguistics, mysticism, taoism, buddhism and the places where language fails, talked about the dalai lama and De Saussure and Derrida, and she brought me some genuine hippy jam made from by genuine hippies - the fruit was picked by a load of my friends from Cardiff and made by my mate Beer. I miss everyone, suddenly. Not Cardiff itself, but all the people I met and lived with there. But it's definitely confirmed the fact that I'm in the right place, now, and I'm doing the right things. So that's a pretty good feeling, I guess.
ETA: for those of you who haven't come across 'em before, Bigger was my flatmate for my three years of Uni and lived within walking distance the year after that, and Beer was a disgustingly cute young man who was in halls with me the first year of uni and has now gone on to do a masters in environmentally based engineering. In his spare time, he builds yurts.
