nnyJust noticed that I was up and (vaguely) coherent before 9 in the morning. I am extremely impressed with myself. :)
I was gonna post some comments about OotP, but I can't be arsed as so many other people have said it better. I will only say that I liked schoolboy selfdeprecating!Remus, and that he reminds me a lot of me at that age- scared to stand up for yourself and risk pissing friends off... I used to think that I was unloveable, and that if I lost the friends I had I'd never get anymore. Then I *did* lose the friends I had, then I made friends with complete arseholes who screwed me up some more, then I grew a spine and actually set out in search of people worthy of my time. Yay! for Caz-girl and Mighty Tom!
So... in the stead of a OotP review, how about a quickie plugging the new Radiohead album, "Hail to the Thief".
It's seriously my favourite of their albums. It's reached a happy medium between experimental and unlistenable. Personally, I enjoyed Kid A and Amnesiac, but I can totally understand the stance that some people took- they *were* kinda hard going, and a huge tangent from The Bends era radiohead. However, the new album is beautiful and haunting, with soft-and-pretty songs as well as rockin' songs. Also, I think it has some of the slashiest lyrics I've ever read- it's attacked me with bunnies for at least three HP fics already, dagnaggit! I really want someone to write a fic about "We Suck Young Blood". Stuff about hanging by the wrists, being fresh, being beaten... it's begging for some really nasty!Lucius fic. I never read Lucius, but I would make an exception in this case, I think.
Anyway... I think my point was "Buy This Album!" but it coulda been "Tea: Drink of the Gods!", too. Possibly.
