nnyThe problem with big fandoms is that I feel like I'm unnecessary. 'Oh I needn't write any McShep, or Zelenka fic', I say to myself, 'because there's so much good stuff out there already!'
Which is just me being lazy again, frankly. Also being too much of a coward to even dream of attempting to go up against BNFs.
The point is not that there is a lot out there already. The point is that no one will ever write quite the same thing as me. And even if I know the stories I want to tell, that doesn't mean I should think 'oh, I've worked it out now, I can move on'. I have to take the next logical step of bloody typing it. XD
I think it's about time I quite hiding in niches and attempted to make my way in the wider world of fandom. (She says, pondering obscure crossovers...)
