Oct. 5th, 2006 07:32 pmFirst and most importantly,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
foreverdirt!!!!
I was going to write something but I got distracted tonight by tutoring and red wine - it's not my fault, I was held hostage! Held hostage with woahmg hot chilli and wine, so not that bad a hostage situation, plus I'm getting £10, so. Will not complain too much. But yes, I apologise for the lack of birthday fic. And rainbow.
Another busy day, although I did have time to read about Baudrillard and postmodernism during lunch when everyone went off to the pub without me. From the chapter summary:
"The crucial category in Baudrillard's four-stage model is the third one, the sign which conceals an absence, which conceals the fact that the supposedly 'real' which it represents is no longer there, that beyond the play of surfaces there is nothing else."
Again, interesting in a religion kinda way. Applying linguistic (/literary) theory to religion is my new hobby, please if you're religious don't take it personally. I think that god is man enough to just ignore me, frankly.
I'm sure I was going to say more about that but hey. Wine. What can I say?
Ummmm... no, I'm blank. I can't remember. If anyone wants me comment and/or email, I'm gonna be around for a while yet, but apart from that I'm going to stop talking before I trip over the keyboard.
Oh! And, it's not fair that I have Jack/Daniel cheesey romance dreams when I don't even know WHO THEY ARE, really. XD
