Oct. 22nd, 2006 09:27 pmThis is the fun part: when you've taken painkillers and you keep waiting for them to kick in only you suddenly realise that two hours have passed and they're actually not having any sort of effect but it's still two hours until you can take more and hope hope hope that those ones will work even though you know they won't and you know there's nothing stronger that you can take and still you're really thankful that at least you can still sit up and attempt to distract yourself and at least you haven't been sick yet.
I was planning to get a desktop rather than a laptop, but I'm thinking maybe a laptop would really be better 'cos then I can lay down and still get on the internet, and I really bloody hate that this has got me thinking in those sort of long-term, um, terms.
*mutters and kicks things*

Date: 2006-10-22 11:28 pm (UTC)If you did, you can take some ibuprofen (or some aspirin if you don't have 'profen) now. The two NSAIDs work in different ways and are fine to take together. Alternating the paracetamol and ibuprofen every 2 hours is a good way to control strong pain if you haven't been prescribed stronger analgesia :)

Date: 2006-10-22 11:35 pm (UTC)You need one of those IV painkillers that they've just started administering in A&E in The Winch. They're much more effective than oral painkillers :(
Ah, fuck it, just get yourself a nice healthy heroin habit. I'm sure that would sort you out...
Sorry hon.
