How do you use those cut tag things? Sometimes I feel the need to post big-ass long posts, and I can see this annoying anyone fool enough to have me on their friends page *g*. If anyone gives me *explicit*, step by step instructions ('cos in some respects I really ain't that bright, y'all), I will be forever in their debt. Please?

but does that go around the body of the text? And... how do you link to it, or whatever? (Yes, I am essentially computer illiterate, though friends assume that because I am a geek I *must* know how it all works...)

Ahhh, okay. :)

The first set of tags goes before the body of text you want to cut. Where it says "text," you add whatever cheesy headline you want ("WANNA SEE MY MONKEY?"). It won't show up in the cut, so you may have to reiterate.

The second tag goes after the cut portion. That'll put you back onto a normal entry.

Both sets just turn up wherever you want them. The link is automatic with the tags. It's a pretty nifty piece of coding, really.
