Nov. 25th, 2006 11:28 pmWell that was thoroughly immense, although the soprano was dressed like Sarah Ferguson circa 1985 which did detract from the spectacle slightly. The music was spectacular, the tenor was really quite attractive (although unfortunately hobbit-named; Bracegirdle, I ask you) and there was a bassoon player who looked like Dr Parrish from SG:A only slightly blonder and wire-rimmed-glasses'd. Mmmmmm.
Yes, I am easily distracted.
Clapping? Not fun. Not at all. Nor is sitting in theatre seats, or sitting in the back of the car afterwards. I am awfully sore, but the amount of times my mum told me how pretty I was looking, with the flattering sort of surprise, was kinda nice. I'm losing weight at the moment, although I'm not sure how - I've not been majorly hungry, I guess, which is probably due to one medication or another. Hell, I'm all for it. Other bizarre symptoms continue to manifest themselves - I had a rash all over one side of my face, this morning. For about ten minutes there I could have played a batman villain. Again, probably something druggy - shall return to the doctor if it returns, so he can poke me and tell me how odd I am again.
I really ought to make the effort (and set aside the cash) to see live classical music more often. It's so worthwhile.
Oh, and in the interval my dad bought me a glass of rosé and I convinced him to borrow Firefly. >:D
