Dec. 10th, 2006 07:42 pmHi! I'm alive! And actually 24, now. As a wise Gneil once said, though, I still feel about 13. :D Thanks ever so for birthday wishes; I had a bit of a browse on the old f-list earlier but didn't respond to anything due to something of a nasty overhang. I got some excellent presents, including a tiny stained glass angel from Winchester Cathedral(!), skull and crossbones socks in various colours, a beautiful scarf and books, obviously. My brother got me Finding Neverland and Chocolat on DVD, how much do he rock?
I had a massage as my main birthday present, along with the haircut I'm having later in the week, and it was the most relaxing thing imaginable but has left me unable to move my neck. It's such a weird feeling, getting a massage - I'm not really used to people touching me, much, and it just made me feel... okay, yes, I know this sounds weird, but cherished. Having someone spend that much time just on you, y'know? It was really lovely, and the semi-naked thing didn't bother me as much as I thought it did, especially when weighed against how good it felt when she was working on my lower back. Mmm.
Then there was an awful lot of chilli and an awful lot of laughter - we don't have intellectual discussions around the dinner table, something my mother laments, but we have a hell of a lot of fun. Our way of showing love is to tease one another mercilessly, in my family. :D
G and I watched Narnia, then, and I am ridiculously more in love with James McAvoy than I was previously - his Mr Tumnus was adorable beyond all reason. And he does English accents so well! I shall have to rent Inside I'm Dancing soon, I think.
Good day, really.
