My computer keeps making that little slight increase of hum that generally signals email, except there is no email. I look up, all hopeful, but there are still no brackets after 'inbox'. Sadness. I suspect it's because I've been deathly dull, lately, but I am determined that I will do better. I've got a couple of important things sorted (or on their way there), I'm going to tidy my room tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure that the weather (and therefore the arthritis) can't stay this bad forever. I refuse to give up on a whole year just because this month has sucked; I might, however, decide that January doesn't count. Restart the whole resolutions thing next month.

I suppose I should start thinking about what I'm going to do in the few months between finishing at my college and starting at my Uni, provided I get in. I mean, I'm definitely going to need to earn more money, especially if I'm hoping to go to the US in the summer, but it'd be good if I could earn that money doing something funky rather than shop work again. Or in addition to the shop work, in any case. Also need to start budgeting - I'll buy some kind of notebook thing for that purpose tomorrow.

(Buying stationery is a quick and easy way to brighten my whole day. There is such potential in a new notebook/pack of pens/highlighter, and it's so cheap.)
