Jan. 28th, 2007 05:46 pmI've got my playlist on shuffle, and every song on it I love, and I'm reading the most fabulous selection of SG:A fanfic, and I have this ball of laughter in my throat and it keeps escaping in high-pitched bursts, and okay. Okay, I've totally achieved nothing today, and a lot of things in my life need sorting, and I've just kicked over my collection of books that permanently reside under my desk because I don't have time to read as much as I'd like but I don't give a crap because god I'm happy. Just for this moment, this hour, this day, maybe. But it only needs to be for this moment, this hour, this day, because the fact that these moments exist mean that the rest of it is okay. That the rest of it will be okay, sooner or later.

Date: 2007-01-28 06:28 pm (UTC)Good for you, with the laughing! For me, these sorts of moments are what life is all about, and the rest is just pauses between them (of varying comfort and pleasantness). Find your bliss, and the rest will follow; the goal of life is to find ways to be truly happy like this more often. (And yes, I've had years that went by with no laughter. That, my friend, is Hell.)
