Trying to cut down a little on the babbling this week.

Rodney is adorable. Rodney-Ronon interaction increases the adorable by a factor of 10. I'm impressed by how little Rodney was bitching, the effort he seems to be making to be more of a team player, I guess, although the team instinct - judging by their behaviour in the tunnels - is still to treat him as the vulnerable one. And he's willing to let them do that, obviously, but he's become noticeably more comfortable with the weaponry and so on. He's also dressing as a member of the team, and I am never gonna complain about Rodney in black T shirts.

That was some seriously careless shooting they were doing, though. All blasting away when the tunnel is clearly not wide enough for all of them so someone should've been wounded. Plus shooting at the thing when it was chest to chest with Ronon, which I can accept from Sheppard and Teyla, but Rodney's aim can't be that good with a P-90 can it? Maybe he just missed the bug completely and was randomly spraying bullets down the corridor. XD

All marines and scientists are now 'disposables' until they've been in more than one episode. Then I will care enough to assign them names. Oh no! Not the bacon guys!

Chuck is increasingly adorable. Fandom will be knocked sideways when he is assigned a name that is not, in fact, 'Chuck'. Maybe they'll just give him a surname. (Can I count the 'Alien'ness as a shout out to my only fic? Can I? XD)

Look, I know I'm trying to cut down commentary, I really am, but I just bloody love this show. "I think you singed my eyebrows! You think you used enough dynamite there, Butch?" HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS?!

Wraith reproduction, wraith porn, 'get a room', Ronon's little wave at Teyla... this episode would have to work hard to be cuter, also more fandom-y. I haven't worked out yet if the fandom is just incredibly spot on in terms of the character voices, or whether the writers are ttly reading fanfic in their spare time...

...ooh, they're doing something fun with Teyla! Hurrah! I don't find Michael particularly interesting, but I'm not gonna complain about Teyla manacled to a table. She's purdy.

Okay, see, this is totally interesting. It's a shame that Carson isn't around to angst about it, because it's kind of addressing the moral problems that I had with his work in the episodes based around Michael. I thought Elizabeth was the really morally indefensible one in those episodes, along with John - Carson seems the type to experiment without thought for consequences. He did go along with it, though. I like that they are having a negative outcome from this, although I'm not sure that they'll ever have the Stargate team acknowledging that what they did was wrong.

...Rodney pulling off a dead man's dogtags actually kills me. Oh God. *sniffles*

Go Ronon! *impressed* Okay, so the whole DEATH thing is not so good, but still. It's nice when people stand up to John.

Okay. Wow. Teyla has just completely won my affection forever. In that one conversation with Rodney I got more about her character than I've got in the past three seasons. Good work, writers.

Wow, Joe's lookin' tired this episode. *pets him*

Hmm. That was a pretty interesting episode, all in all. Potential for more storylines in the future, which is always promising. I'm just not sure that I'm going to be satisfied with the way it's resolved, in terms of the experimentation issues. We can but see.

...and I'm so late for work. XD Back soon!
