This is an ANTI-VALENTINE for schiarire. (Not in the sense of me hating her, but in the sense of me feeling the need to make a token obeisance in the direction of cynicism so as not to besmirch the glorious pragmatism of our relationship.)

Because love is a big word! And the Greeks had this handy distinction which kind of points out how glaringly inept the English language is at discriminating in this area, considering the wealth of synonyms it has for much less complex concepts.

Ergo: this is an anti-Valentine not of eros but of philia. And gratitude. And admiration.
