Mar. 23rd, 2007 04:00 pmG has decided to celebrate the absence of the parentals by cooking noodles and beans. I. Just. I deny all involvement, 'cos I've told her it's probably going to be a feast of all grossness and from here on out she's on her own. There's actual nice food in the fridge, which I'll be partaking of later, so why she would choose to make herself noodles and beans... teenagers, eh?
Just found out that next term I will be doing physiotherapy with one of my students, which is a bit... out of the blue. Apparently she trusts/likes me best out of the LSAs (according to her physiotherapist in any case) so I am officially nominated. Bit nervous obviously, since I have no idea what it'll involve, but it'll look ace on my CV and it's always nice to get picked for things. I feel all special. :D
Found out today that one of the other LSAs, who is all sweetness and light to my face - to the extent of inviting me over at lunchtimes, although I suspect it's less for me and more because I tend to be the only one around - is of the opinion that I should be sacked because of the amount of time off I take. The time off that's due to being unable to stand/walk because of arthritis. So that's nice. It's amazing; lately the LSAs have had to queue up to get into our boss's office in order to bitch about everyone else on the team. I probably ought to get my two cents in or something, just in case I run out of room in my back for knives, but at this point... I'm only here for another two months in any case, at which point I'm moving not only jobs but towns. And I've already got my reference. So it's really not worth the whining.
(In other words I do not bitch, not because of any sort of moral superiority, but because I'm just fuckin' lazy. :D)
