Right. That's it. I've allowed myself to be crap for a long time, now, and I knew this would happen when my job ended so I have absolutely no excuse. Lack of achievement just depresses me, and depression leads to even less achievey, hence the unanswered emails in the inbox, the story still waiting to be finished, the ridiculous piles of clothes yet to be put away. NO MORE. Ha. I decree that I shall have a productive day tomorrow.

TO DO:

Ironing for mum

Put clothes away

Finish filling in forms and assemble all evidence needed

Write at least 2,000 words, whether it be meme answers or story finishing

shopping style errands

And when all that's done, then I'm allowed to watch Eerie Indiana.

For now I'm going to go to bed and set my alarm so I don't sleep the day away and wake up all bleurghy. (That's the technical term).

I see to do lists becoming a big part of my immediate future.

To Do Lists are great.

There is a sense of achievement to be had in crossing off things as they're accomplished. Even moreso in adding things you've just this minute remembered you also had to do -- and immediately crossing them off!

I carry post-it notes. Small, convenient, cheap. Make a list on one (or five), cross things out, then re-write and regroup by copying the things yet to be done onto a fresh new post-it note and pitching the old ones!

I swear, it's the only way I've managed to be anywhere near organised for years .....

I love to-do lists. They are so helpful -- as mnemonics, as motivators, and because it's ever so satisfying to cross items off them.
