Sep. 24th, 2007 02:45 pmI'm too busy to have crises of confidence, right now, but if I had time I would be panicking about how much I have to do, and how I'm not capable of doing it. Because I don't have time I'm just getting on and doing it, which means I'm pretty much on top of most things and doing extra reading when I can.
...I don't understand it either. But it's pretty damned funky.
By the time I get home tonight we should have a full contingent of housemates; the only one still outstanding is the German guy. I'm gonna have to come up with nicknames for their presence on my livejournal.
I'm going to talk to my professional tutor person on Wednesday to get his help clarifying my educational study. What I want to look at is the extent to which sex education is heteronormative, and whether students who go to a sixth form attached to a secondary school are at a disadvantage in terms of available resources and so on. This may involve me creating a journal for the purposes of polls and pointing you in their direction, and I would really appreciate people a)filling them out and b)pimping them so I can, y'know, pass my coursework. I'll be repeating all this in your general direction when I actually get around to doing the work.
We are, as a house collective, going to poke the landlord about getting the internet in the house ASAP. I probably won't have all that much more time than I already do - see aforementioned work - but at least I'll be more able to watch you all vaguely.
Happy thing of today: I was in a toilet today, and behind the toilet was a big panel with a sign on that'd been carefully modified in pencil:
THIS PANEL MUST REMAIN CLOSED WHEN NOT IN USE otherwise the monster will get out...
