nnyProgress as to the study thing:
My Professional Tutor came and perched next to me in the staffroom today and informed me that the issue of homosexual coverage in sex ed and the issue of homophobia had come up on the latest school agenda - that he hadn't seen before he spoke to me - and that it was going to be mandatory to cover it next year. So maybe it was a lot more relevant than was previously thought. He was seriously nice about it and has been generally being nice to me since the whole meeting thing, and that's kind of helped with my whole 'it was nothing personal, he doesn't think I'm stupid' mantra.
Anyway, the upshot of this was that I was advised to go and set up an appointment with the headteacher, which I have done, in order to see whether there's any particular issue that she wants me to investigate. So even if it's not in the exact form I would have chosen, I still might be covering the whole queerness and equality issue in some shape or other.
So, basically, yay!
