Aug. 22nd, 2003 11:10 amI am a doormat. It's official. Anything that disadvantages me I will agree to, if only to make life easier. If it disadvantages someone *else*, I will fight to the death about it. Me? Nah. Too much like hard work.
I say this because of the room I have just moved into. It is the smallest room in a shared house- 3 of us are in there. That's cool. It's the room I wanted, and I like it in there. There is also the added advantage of having one of the bathrooms (yes people, two bathrooms, two *baths* and only three people...) between me and the Bigger Buttmonkey's bedroom, so there is a distinct lack of sex-noise through the wall. Thanks the gods. :D
However. One of the reasons I liked the room was that it had a double bed. Squee! I have never in my life had a double bed. I was all excited about having one. So when I move in, I find that the Bigger Buttmonkey has snagged my double bed and moved her single into my room. Um... okay. Fine. Not gonna complain.
Also, Littlest Buttmonkey, who I would like to point out has the biggest room (biggest as in maybe two and a half times the size of mine) has moved a wardrobe she doesn't want into my room. The *smallest* room. Which already has rather an excess of furniture. Neither of them consulted me. Because they know I won't complain.
I need a strap-on spine.
Sorry about the rant. ;)
