Progress towards goal so far: Er. I've been reading Man from UNCLE slash and giggling ridiculously and remembering how David McCallum was one of my very first crushes when I was all of about eight or nine. And then I got sidetracked into mentally recasting the show with Rodney and Zelenka being frankly crap at being secret agents, (secret agents for CANADA), and how Rodney would be convinced that he was much smoother with the ladies than the painful reality.

("Did you see how totally into me she was?" He sighed happily, rubbing rope-burned wrists. "Starcrossed lovers all the way."

Radek rolled his eyes.

"She was preparing to shoot you, Rodney. This is perhaps a courting ritual?"

"You're just jealous."

"Oh, yes. My day is not complete until I have been stripped half naked and suspended from a hook."

"See?" Rodney snapped his fingers, smile wide and eyes bright, "half naked! Unnecessary and therefore proof. She was totally into me."

Radek idly wondered if anyone would believe that she had shot Rodney before Radek could get here. Unavoidable accident, very tragic.)

And John would naturally be the American FBI type that was constantly getting in the way and butting heads with Rodney and Radek would be incredibly amused and keep making very dry comments about denial (and possibly pigeons) and I should really go do some work, now.

I think everyone who watched Man from UNCLE had a crush on Illya Kuryakin. :)

Which was so amusing because they were trying so very hard to make Napoleon Solo the Sexy one but he (even at eight) was dull and sleazy. Like James Bond is, in fact. Possibly it is a conflict between what men suspect women will find sexy and what they actually do.

Yes, exactly! It is so amusing when the PTB get it wrong about this stuff. I do fear, though, that the most recent Bond has broken the sleazy mold. Mind you, that may change in the next film!

This is true - Daniel Craig was Unexpectedly Quite Hot. It was before he'd learned to Never Love Again and become a Total Man Whore, though, which is apparently the part which is supposed to be sexy. Um.
