I was going to just post a song, but why post a song when I can annoy you for a month with a meme? HA!
Day 01 -> Your Favourite Song
My favourite song changes pretty much every week, depends what it is I'm in the mood for. But my favourite album of last year, definitely the best purchase, was You Don't Know, a three-disc sampler from Ninja Tune which is without doubt my favourite record label. The three discs have very different characters but they're all fantastic; at the moment I can't stop playing is this:
True Confessions by RJD2.
(Youtube link)
These're the guys who were also responsible for Ghostwriter, a song I couldn't stop bopping to when I worked at WOMAD, the song that starts of that wonderfully dreadful film Wimbledon with Paul Bettany.
This song's completely different; it sounds kind of like the soundtrack to a trailer for an awesome crime film, with crises of conscience and morals weighing against peril and guns and awesome cars and quite possibly explosions. I'm very in favour of it.
