There's a commentary with Neil, and some various documentaries and whatnot, that give some insight into things. Like the fact that.. well, I don't know the technical aspects as I am not very savvy with that but it was filmed in a way that was made to be altered later, so it would look like movie-quality film, and that never happened, which makes it look off. But on the whole, yeah, still some strange stuff.
Um, also I don't think it's ever mentioned in any of those but Laura Fraser was doing A LOT of coke at the time that was filmed and was basically completely out of it for the duration, making it hard to get consistently good takes. yeah. Anyway, I believe there's plans to make another film version which will hopefully have less problems.
