Wrote an epilogue for Sleepless. Yay me. :D

Also, wondering - does anyone know of natural ways to boost the immune system? I'm eating a lot of fruit and veg and drinking orange juice and all that, I just think that my body's a)taking revenge for the 9 months of arthritis last year and b)reacting in a piss-poor manner to stress, and I seem to be catching every possible thing it's possible to catch and then some. Sick of feeling sick.

Speaking of, though, I can has bed naow?

Take lots and lots of vitamin C. Seriously lots; take 2 of the 1000mg tablets every day for a couple of weeks. That's twice the recommended daily dose, but it's okay to take it - you'll excrete what you don't use. That should help you fight off all this ick. *snuggles*

Echinaecea is grerat for immune system as is a zinc supplement which aids the absorption of vitamin C. Selenium too-you can get sources of zinc and selenium by eating pumpkin seeds and brazil nuts I think.

Myself, I've got a digestive system that goes out of whack if I just so much as look at the wrong food (sadly, I haven't fully figured out so far what the wrong food is). My doctor told me to try out those probiotic drinks and yoghurts and they really seem to help.

Also, you might not want to overdo it with the fruit and orange juice if you have gone mostly without for some time. An "overdose" of raw fruit and vegetables usually leads to more trouble than it's worth vitamin-wise, at least in my experience.

I'd also mix in some bland non "offensive" food too. Too much fruit and veg can do a number on your digestive system as much as being sick, because it's sometimes kind of "harsh".

Always drink lots of water. Fluids will help.

And don't push yourself too hard. Stress makes you tired, and you have to let yourself be tired, otherwise you're just fighting your body. And that's no fun (not to mention ultimately counter-productive :oD)

Feel better!!!

Drink lots of water, and get a bit of fresh air and exercise every day and don't stay up too late unless you can also lie-in. Its sad really, all those old wives tales about eating well and getting enough sleep are completely true, very boring. OJ is good stuff, yum :)

It's the strongest flavours that do the most for your immune system: think ginger, chili, cinnamon, etc. Avoid dairy and sugar.

Hope you feel better soon!

Sleep and mushrooms. Yes, ordinary white mushrooms are the latest thing rumored to boost the immune system.

But seriously, sleep is the best thing. As much as you can manage.

*hugs*
