Hello new people who have friended me!

*waves frantically!*

I swear, I don't always spam this much. It's one of those days where I have a lot of work to do and therefore would rather bugger around on the dreaded internets. I'm pottering back and forth around my flist at the moment, because I have a lot of typing to do and (after a period of doing No Exercise At All) I swam fifty lengths today. I feel awesome, really pleased with myself and energised and stuff, but my arms hurt like a bitch. XD The good thing about this country club gym type place is a)that I got four weeks free so ended up only paying for a membership for four months and b)it's on the way home from work, so it's not like I have to go out of my way to work out. I am Very Lazy, so this is a tremendously good thing. It totally brought home how unfit I am, though - the place is at the bottom of a hill and when I was trying to get back up the stairs afterwards I felt like a Carthaginian with elephants hanging off my feet. Oh for an enormous ski lift!

(anyone who catches the reference is hereafter my favourite)

It's all for the greater good, though. I shall go swimming again when it opens tomorrow morning, and hope that there are rather fewer small floating beings. If only the pool were deeper so I could bemoan the abyss!

True swimming story: I was doing laps at the local Y (the breast stroke, ironies of irony) when by boob popped right out of my suit. And I didn't notice!!1! Thank goodness a fellow swimmer let me know so I could tuck my dignity around me and continue on.
