Ianto Jooooones. Seriously, he's the perfect butler, it makes me so very happy. I want to see Paul Bettany playing Peter Wimsey and GDL as Bunter, even though that's ridiculous in terms of relative ages and suchlike. And I adore the bitchy side of him, and how homicidal he can be at times (even though he's kinda inept) and I love the efficiency - like when Jack disappeared in the Torchwoodmobile and everyone flailed and Ianto ran off to flag down a taxi. It's gorgeous!
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
RHYS. Oh my god, Rhys. He's solid and dependable and man enough to be okay with his wife being the man in the relationship, and when he's taking shit from Gwen he digs his heels in and tells her so. He's brave and he's good and he can cook and he's cuddly and he's sekritly lacking in self-esteem when it comes to Gwen and I love him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Well I know not everyone loves her, but Gwen. She's aggravating. I don't hate her half as much as I did, but I will never forgive her for the
amnesia pill trick with Rhys. That was inexcusable and makes me angry.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I - are there even that many characters? *laughs* I dunno - because he's a baddy, that time dude? I don't know if everyone hates him, but I think he's awesome. Gotta love a man in a cravat.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Myfanwy. Meh, pterodactyl. Whatever.
6. The character I would shag anytime
Ianto Jones pleaseandthankyou. Also Tosh. Yup.
7. The character I'd want to be like
Again, Ianto. I WANT TO BE A BUTLER. I want to buttle, dammit.
8. The character I'd slap
Owen. Because I don't like him and he has a muppet face.

Potential fanon Jack/Ianto. Also, am I wrong to want Rhys/Andy?
10. A pairing that I despise
Canon Jack/Ianto. Ugh, power in that relationship is all screwed up.

Potential fanon Jack/Ianto. vs. Canon Jack/Ianto.
Canon brought us some lovely moments, but overall it wasn't treated too good. It's perhaps because we don't know much about it except that they shag a lot and use kinky stuff. They started great with the kiss in "To the last Man" and the "Adam" thing, but then the whole thing was reduced to a sex thing and that really annoyed me. Plus the whole supposed unrequited Jack/Gwen thing. Gimme a break.

Tara. She seemed kind of pallid and dull in the first couple of episodes, but she gradually grew on me until I was hopelessly in love and had semi-nude pictures on my laptop. Oops? XD
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Buffy. She's self-righteous and a martyr and whiny and aggravating and selfish and she needs a slap.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I don't know if there are characters that everyone hates, so I'll go with Ethan Rayne because all the characters hate him at least. I think he's hot, and there were canonical orgies with Giles. How can that be beat?
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Willow. I still like her, but I didn't like a lot of the things they did with her.

Again, Oz. I really wish I could prevent myself from sharing my every passing thought with the world. It's better to be thought stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt, and all that. Plus he's just awesome.

Zelenka and Chuck. Zelenka is just - everything additional that we find out about him makes him exponentially more awesome, and the fact that Rodney actually respects him says far more about him than anything else. He's also adorable. And Chuck - Chuck is just Chuck. For srs. XD
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Carson. I don't particularly have anything against him, but I don't adore him and I wouldn't dream of campaigning to get him back. I like Keller a hella lot, and Carson was... faintly dull, and ethically dubious, and WTF Rodney's best friend? Pshyeah.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I don't think people hate her so much as they're indifferent to her, but dude, Novak. She's cute and competent and adorably frustrated with her own failings, and she's also kinda hot...
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Lucius Lavin. It was the fact that it was Richard Kind, mostly, although his rambling monologues are still kinda awesome. I don't hate him as much as fandom seems to, but I don't so much love him any more.
6. The character I would shag anytime
Rodney McKay. Seriously, would anyone believe me if I said anyone else, at this point? But if Rodney is monogamous I'd rather have him with John and I'll take Chuck. Or, oooh, that Chinese gate tech. NOM.
7. The character I'd want to be like
I think... Ronon. He's perpetually amused by everyone, and he's way more trusting than he first appears, and he knows when to tease and when to hug, and he's playful, and he makes me happy. Much as I love Teyla, she's a little too sensible for me.
8. The character I'd slap
Kavanagh. He's really weirdly hot now, though, which I think is largely due to his appearance on Supernatural. I'd slap him partly because he made me fancy him.
9. A pairing that I love
...tell me you don't need me to answer this.
10. A pairing that I despise
I don't despise it because I've never read it, but I just do not in any way see John/Elizabeth. They have no chemistry; I can't see John chemistry with any woman, except for perhaps bug!John/Teyla, and that's probably breeding instincts or something. He so gay. :D

There's always someone who will defend every character, isn't there? I don't think it's possible to find a character that everyone hates in HP; I'll go with Quirrel, why not? I love Ian Hart, anyway. :D

Snape. He was far more interesting before he was solved.

Oliver Wood. Charlie Weasley. The Twins. Cedric Diggory. Tonks. Andromeda Tonks. Ted Tonks. (Hee.) Sirius and Remus, Bill Weasley, Seamus and Dean, Angelina Johnson... can I stop now?
7. The character I'd want to be like
I think Lilly. She seemed to be the most sensible of the lot of them.

Probably Sirius or James if I was at school with them.

Sirius and Remus. I also have a secret love for Remus and Charlie, beacuse who better to look after a magical creature?

Draco and Harry, mostly because the story I most hated writing was D/H for an exchange thing.

Brian. I have this whole future of the Them mapped out in my head, and Brian is a big environmental activist and enormous stoner, and slightly crazy, and dreadfully, hopelessly in love with Wensley. Who's kind of chubby and self-conscious about it and resents Brian for being hotter than him and doesn't notice that Brian's completely in love with him until he does and they live happily ever after.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Anathema, and I really don't know why. She's precisely the sort of sensible, matter of fact character that I often fall for, like Susan Sto Helit, and Agnes, and Elizabeth Bennett. I guess it could be because she retains that sensibleness even when it comes to matters of the heart, whereas I quite like it when heroines get flustered when confronted with the squishy stuff.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I don't really think there are enough characters in the book to have characters that people hate. There isn't nearly enough love for Brian and Wensley, though.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Newt. I don't not love him, I just have moved on to Themer pastures. :D
6. The character I would shag anytime
Crowley. I over identify with Aziraphale.
7. The character I'd want to be like
Aziraphale. I'm most of the way there - indecent love of tea and books, pretty bent, deplorably English, dreadfully old-fashioned. I just need to develop his goodness.
8. The character I'd slap
Adam. I think he needs it.
9. A pairing that I love
Crowley/Aziraphale and Brian/Wensleydale. I think they're the healthiest possibilities.
10. A pairing that I despise
Despise is too strong a word, but Newt and Anathema is just... fate is not romantic, so much. Going against the dictates of fate is way sweeter.
