I has a favour to ask, and yes, it's for more music.

If it makes it better, this time it's for writing rather than essayness? What I'd like is... drums, and not-quite-dissonance, and... bazaar music.

Unrelated to the previous, but actually, any 'world' music would be awesome. (I dislike that categorisation.) Folk music from any country, I guess? I dunno. Bung stuff over here, if you get a sec, and I will find something nice to do for you in return. :D

Uh. I can offer some Egyptian pop music? I'd just have to upload, if you're interested.

Oh, and you did download the Bolero from my post, right? Because that's the definition of what you're asking for.

I'm yousending you a russian song. I have a whole bunch if that's the kind of thing you need - my parents are fans of the Russian "bard" genre which is basically poetry and/or terrible puns set to finger-picky acoustic guitar. It's even more uncool than having parents who like ABBA :p

Mostly I'm just trying stuff out because my musical tastes are way too narrow in scope.

I like the song, but it's not majorly different from other stuff I've got so I'm okay without more. Thanks for that one, though, seriously. :D I love the sounds in Russian.

Yeah it's cool. I saw Aleksei Ivasshenko live, he's kind of awesome - he does that thing where you sample you own music onstage and then play it back so you can play rhythm behind yourself. and he tells hilarious anecdotes.

I don't know if some of these are really songs you write to, per say, because they're not really...backgroundish, but they're all very interesting and some of them have that "bazaar" feel to them - mwari initiation (taita, kenya) is a good one, along with both of the wedding songs and the funeral dance.
