Shut up! It's the first time you hear the theme tune in the show, it's the first time there's a Sheppard, and it has beautiful scenery and snow everywhere! It's totally contributed to my belief that John Sheppard flies every helicopter in the world ever, except for ones that crash. (In Happy Feet, Rodney's the one who belatedly bops and falls on his ass. :D)

I don't have time to write them, right now, but I'm still compiling soundtracks and working things out in my head and it's pleasing. And every now and again I'll run across a snippet I wrote back in the day and snigger quietly to myself at things like this:

The bearded giant stared down at him, and Rodney swallowed hard.

"I'll fight you for him."

There was a low rumble, like the sound of an approaching stampede, coming from deep within the man's chest.

"Oh god," whimpered Rodney, "I'm going to die," except Dex was laughing. Bent at the waist and slapping his thigh and barely able to stand up for it. Then he stood, faster than Rodney could move, and he felt an undignified squeak squeezed out of him as the man mountain pulled him into a ridiculously tight hug.

"I like you, Mckay."

Rodney looked over Dex's shoulder at John, who was looking bemused and like he was trying not to laugh, both at the same time. Which was aggravatingly like the expression he wore every other day.

"He likes me?" he hissed.

"Man says he likes you," and the bastard was laughing, he could hear it in his voice.

"Oh." Rodney listened with the abstraction of panic as he almost heard his ribs creak. "Do I want him to like me?"

Also yay for cleaning rooms. I've... managed to fill a dustbin bag with crap without actually impacting much on the actual tidiness of my room, and I have no idea if I'll have time to tidy again over the next six weeks. XD
