Apr. 19th, 2008 10:23 pmI like this one, it's a good complement to t'other one I did. :D
Quote a bit of your best writing at me. Find a sentence or paragraph you're particularly proud of, and comment here with it.
You know you want to distract me from essay, guys...
*wheedles*
Note: I still like this and this, although both most likely need severe editation.

It’s too much to take in at once; he breaks John down into small, manageable pieces, marking each of them with soft kisses so he'll know what goes where later when he puts John back together, and John gives it up like he’s been waiting for a reason, soft noises falling from his lips that almost sound like equations.
Rodney says, “Come on,” and John says, “Yes.”

Date: 2008-04-19 10:03 pm (UTC)And we still have to try
Because there's a truth in that half-a-lie
From your half-a-mouth
Moving half-way south
Along the half-ridges of my spine
And I think you half-know
Just as well as half of I
That when you say you don't love me
It's at least half
A lie.
From "Half"
and Sodium (http://apiphile.livejournal.com/1383418.html), which I wrote YEARS AND YEARS ago. I wish I could write like that more often.

EDIT: bollocks, I've caught Amanda's "though/thought" tic.

MacLeod was a force of nature just as brilliant as those shining lights, binding his friends and loved ones close within his sphere of influence. He'd tried to pull Methos into his orbit too. Methos had always managed to dance away. He'd kept circling back around though, like a moth flitting around the porch light at night. Always fearful that one day he'd fly too close.

No, no, that is not what I mean at all.
As to fanfiction, I'm inordinately fond of this bit of the Beetle AUs:
-shift- “I’m starting to think my universe isn’t so bad after all,” muttered Booster as Ted introduced him to someone called Neo -shift- “Go back where you came from,” hissed Batman, all bloody -shift- flowers and flowers and flowers and somewhere the green lady laughed and laughed -shift- “Plead not guilty,” Beetle whispered urgently. “I have a plan!” -shift-
Although it was a tough case between that and "Then we shall invade Brazil!"
