The WTFness is true, but unless something has changed quite recently, that's basically a self-published/vanity press thing by a plastic surgeon for in his office. At least as of a few days ago, one couldn't, for instance, order a copy, as it has not ISBN or anything.
God. I cannot TELL YOU how pissed off this book makes me, especially since I very very recently worked in the children's book industry. I heard about this last week and reading the article made me want to throw my laptop across the room.
