I keep saying I'm writing, but drabbles get in the way. But now... now I think I *am* writing. It's all [livejournal.com profile] ygrane's fault, really. =)

This is a little drabble that made me chuckle. Then it gave me bunnies. Since, I have written this one, and I realised that it's kind of a part of the same story.

So if I wrote Rincewind as DADA, would anyone read it? Or is it too stupid a crossover? Also... should it be gen? Or should I slash it? I don't know.

Some thoughts on the bunny:

Rincewind is admittedly crap at magic. But he could teach theory behind wandless magic- in one of the first two, I think, he opens a lock without magic. It also has one of the best explanations of wandless/staffless magic- the Dean can blast any amount of tentacled things, but to perform magic with your mind is much more of a feat.

It would be set in their seventh year and would be a battlefic, but not exclusively. Remember that cowards make the best strategists... (Eric)

Pros and cons of slash... well, slash is slash. I love slash. Will always love slash. Thing is, it then has to be from either Draco or Rincewinds' view points. I wanna write from Harry's.

YES I WOULD LIKE TO READ THAT

I would seriously, seriously fangirl you to pieces for writing Rincewind as the DADA prof. Like, beyond your imagination.

Yes, I would like to read it! Yes, yes, yes!

(And as for pairings, I say the subtler the better. Subtext is everything, baby.)

Well, he'd fit right in with the general run of incompetent DADA teachers, wouldn't he!

I would *so* read it. I love the thought of Rincewind as DADA, hell, I love Rincewind, he's *such* a Slytherin. Gen would be great, but slash could be fun too, just see what comes to you. I sort of liked the little Rincewind/Draco plot-line. Oddly enough, it works. Don't worry about POV, most books have more than one. Again, just see what comes to you. I LOVE that this bunny is my fault. I'm wiggling with glee. >wiggles<

I want to see more of your original work too. Can Midnight come out to play? PLEASE!?!

I would read it! Definitely.

So are you saying it would be Rincewind/Draco? *boggles* *boggles again*

Do it.

WANTING TO READ.

So please do write it.

I think it'd be brilliant if you wrote Rincewind/Draco from Harry's point-of-view. Imagine the poor boy's reaction when he discovers the relationship. Imagine Ron's "yuck!"- comments. And Hermione's indignation ("But... he's a teacher!")

Luggage is surely well suited for hands-on practice in class.

Yes, I want to see Rincewind as the Defense professor! Rincewind/Draco? Will there be mashed potatoes involved?
