I am looking for a beta for the Rincewind fic. It's early, I know. I've committed all of seven words to paper, but I have quite a few pages of notes.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to be pestered with various magical theories I've come up with. Someone who will email me the occasional virtual kick in the arse, to get me writing again. Someone who knows the HP and Discworld universes reasonably well, and will let me know when I fuck up. Someone who will tell me when I should be using another point of view. When I should be using active structure, not passive. When I've used "said" seven times in a row and should be taken out and shot.

I don't ask for much, huh? =)

Anyone willing to take me in hand?

Well...if you want more than one beta, I'd be happy to help out; I'm intimately familiar with HP (canon!whore) and I've read enough of Discworld to get a general idea of things, and I really, really like magical theory, and I like playing with tenses. On the other hand, I'm busy enough that the virtual kick in the arse won't really happen. So, er, yes. If you want a couple of betas, I'd be happy to help, but I don't think I quite have the time to do it on my own...kay?

I know both pretty much inside out, HP probably more than Discworld. Could I suggest having two beta's, one Discworld and one HP? It might help to have an 'expert' in each area. Just a suggestion :)

I'm very familiar with HP, I'm a Discworld junkie, and I'm pretty good with little details. I love thinking about the magic involved in both worlds and how they might work together. Also, I've been looking for an excuse to email you on a near daily basis. ^_^

I was going to offer, but you've got plenty of people. Keep me in mind if you need an extra eye, but it looks like you won't. This sure is a better way to get a beta than any other I've known.
