Also, unrelated. I have a mental image but don't have the elegance of brain to describe it, which is frustrating. It is a house, and the lower half is an exact reflection of the top half. It looks at first as though it is merely an unimaginatively designed basement, continuing the house in the same style to the floor; at second glance it seems as though there's a pond in the front garden that fools the eye, but instead the lower storey is exactly the same as the upper, tapering to a point that cannot quite be called a roof. It's supported by two stout sticks, one on each side, so it doesn't topple and smash all the china.

It needs to be drawn by Quint Buchholz.

Oh, that kind of reminds me of one of the images in Imagine A Day (http://www.amazon.com/Imagine-Day-Byron-Preiss-Book/dp/0689852193/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210718567&sr=1-2). Stupidly, I cannot link you to the specific image I'm thinking of, but if you flip through the "Surprise me!" link on the Look Inside feature, you might spot it. Or you could see if you can find it at a library. It's a very cool book. With an even cooler companion book called Imagine A Night. :)
