I kinda joined mixed_muses because I kinda miss RP and it looked like somewhere to get inside the heads of some of my OCs, but... it all seems to take place in Milliways. Which... lasting trauma, say sorry.

Pooooossibly I should try somewhere else.

Maybe I'll revamp and resurrect shot in the dark. XD

I haven't done mixed_muses yet, but I understand that the person who writes the EP can decide the location. If you stay in your own threads, you can choose where they happen.

Depends on what sort of characters I'm thinking of taking out for a walk, but it's more likely to be low-level urban sci-fi or modern crime drama, to be honest. I have Brigstocke-levels of dislike for magic. D:

My standard solution to writer's block has often been to throw (http://apiphile.livejournal.com/880942.html#cutid1) zombies (http://apiphile.livejournal.com/923087.html#cutid1) at it (http://apiphile.livejournal.com/1177537.html#cutid1) until it stops boring/annoying me, I like the idea of taking characters and sticking them in the town and then saying; "and now, ZOMBIES."

Which beats the other "my god this story is annoying me" solution which was to flatten the main characters with a giant fibreglass cow. It destroyed the sex scene but my GOD it felt good.

It is an unfortunate normality, yes. You can totally post anything you come up with, though, and ignore all the Milliposts. It's rare, but people do do it, so you'll still totally get tags.

It doesn't all! You specify in your EP, as others have said. A lot do take place in Milliways or in generic-bar-that's-Milliways-with-the-serial-numbers-filed-off, and I don't know if the preponderance of those EPs will be a problem for you anyway. *hugs* But for your own, you can put your characters anywhere you want.

That's where I set all my posts. I'm not really interested in it being Milliways; it's just a convenient set up. Most who for serious use it are testing out actual new characters that will go there. My Mixed Muses just need a place to hang out.
