Apparently it *is* possible to feel worse than I did the other day. Ugh. Just got back from work, and I don't think I'll be able to sleep, so I decided to come in and do some archiving for [livejournal.com profile] hpsquick100, because if I don't do it now it'll never get done. I curse the lack of chat.

*Curses unintelligably*

Wish you could chat. I've missed you lately.

*hugs back*

We could have a really slow chat on LJ... =)

What d'ya wanna talk about?

(Man, it sucks that I lost chat just after I found out your YM!)

I am that annoying person in the computer room right now. Y'know, the one that keeps coughing and sniffing and making generally dying-type noises. Comedy genius!

That used to be me at the university computer lab. I nearly always have some sort of cold or allergy thing going on. And I lived in the lab till I got my own computer.

BTW, how's the Sickest Puppy in the Pound Squickfest coming?
*poke*

Man, I was hoping people had forgotten about that... I'll go look at the pairings, see if I get any inspiration. There's not that many left to do.

Oh, and *pokes back* your pairing choice is disgusting! Eeeeeew! *snugs*

I was trying my best! ^_~ Thought I was going to squick you with the first one. Seems I *way* underestimated your squickability. I promise that this is the last pairing I'll throw at you for this challenge though. [profile] hpsquick100 seems to be taking off quite nicely. Though a lot of them are sweet rather than squicky. LOL Can't wait for Monday's challange, I sort of feel like writting.

Dang... maybe I was slightly exaggerating when I said it was nearly done... 14 still to do. Uh-oh... I'll try to do some tonight. And I am an eejit- I thought it was Sunday today; yesterday. Thought that past midnight it was gonna be Monday. I am a big fool- oh well. At least I have more time to plan a challenge now.

I'm trying to start the Rincewindfic still. I've got a little of the Sorting Hat's song, and a little train-ness, but none of it here and none worth looking at yet. I'm also trying to write a gen wizardfic, and it's a lot of fun trying to emulate PTerry's style.

Good luck on the 14 other entries. Unless you want to declare all of us winners just for outlasting you. ^_~ Sounds like the Rincewind fic is coming on well. I admire people who can come up with new sorting hat songs. Even JKR herself cops out on that one. I'd love to see it when you're ready. What's the gen wizardfic going to be about? Is it set in the Discworld or your own universe? And how is the new job? Did they get over your trouser issue?

The wizardfic is based on a line in The Last Continent: "The senior wizards could argue for half an hour about whether it was Tuesday." I'm attempting to write that half hour. It's a lot of fun trying to emulate PTerry's style, though I'm not sure I'm being entirely successful.

The job is a job is a job. I bought new trousers, and I'm enjoying it, I guess. I can be pretty slack, which suits me fine, and I can keep sneaking into the back of Pirates and sighing over Johnny. And Once Upon a Time in Mexico, too. Deppy goodness. I also used one of my complementary tickets to go see Underworld... I have a Kraven/Lucian bunny nibbling, but it will just have to join the herd. Until I get my RL FQF entry done (Remus is standing in a Quidditch changing room, and has been for some time- people are starting to talk), I will not be starting anything new. I shouldn't start anything new anyway- got about 10 fics semi-written.

I'm a bad person. *g*

You're not a bad person. You're a creative and prolific person. I'm amazed by your talent. You and [personal profile] wikdsushi make me hang my head in shame. You are so lucky to work in a theatre. I haven't gotten to see 'Underworld' yet, but I got to rent 'Y Tu Mama Tambian' and I can't wait to see it. Must make dinner and wait till everyone falls asleep first, so they don't babble at me while I'm trying to watch. ^_~

Hee! I think I have to write more to be prolific. Or at least finish more. =) I am a prolific drabble writer, and have the attention span of a gnat.

I haven't seen "Y Tu Mama Tambien", but I definitely want to at some point- and it's a grand insult. Everyone looks at you as if to say... "Qua?" And no, I have no idea whether that's correct, but I *do* know they're not the same language. Poot to it. =)

Correct. Y tu Mama tambian is spanish and qua is french. Thank you, Eddie Izzard. Speaking of PTerry, he's going to be in this area of the country soon, and I might get to go see him. *SQUEE!* And I love your drabbles. No one said fiction had to be long, and occasionally they give you nice plotbunnies. If you want, I can poke and nag you to finish your longer fics. I won't if that doesn't help, though. And if you can't tell by this post, I, too, have the attention span of a gnat. ^_^

Jealousy at the PTerry-ness. I was gonna go see him once, but I saw the queue and had to go to work. I am Not A True Fan. =)

And I would appreciate some nudging occasionally on the Rincewind fic. I have to know that someone's interested to actually get anything done. =)

Gnatty attention spans are dandyfun, but they do mean that my essays tend to leap, gazelle-like, from topic to topic. And my stories tend to change POV far too often.

My essay's are a horror to read. I had a friend edit one once and he said it was like trying to fix the Titanic. That's a quote. Shall gladly poke you about the Rincewind fic. ^_^ Are you still going to pair him with Draco? I thought that was a cool and not over done pairing.

Dunnno yet. Maybe. Depends entirely on what comes out of my head when I write it. I cannot do the whole forward planning things on stories, because then it's like... My brain goes "Ooh, you have a plan! That is almost a plot. Since you have a plot, what's the point in writing? Oooh, new pairing! Shiny! Write *this* now!"

My brain hates me.

LOL! Your brain dangles shiny things at you. That begs for an icon! That's the opposite of Sushi's problem. Her characters won't leave her alone till she gets the story out of her head. I have little worlds that I play around in, but they never make their way to paper.
