I'm reading Skoosie's backlog right now, but if you want to rec that'd be awesome. I... only really know who P!atD and MCR and FOB are, though... I mean, I have vague ideas about other bands, but only as supporting characters in the fic I read, if that makes sense.

And music... anything good? I don't know!

You should definitely read all of bexless's stuff- I'd say start here (http://bexless.livejournal.com/628565.html), but they're really all very good. Uh, this one (http://kosher-pareve.livejournal.com/60277.html) is a couple of years old but still utterly hilarious, as is this one (http://community.livejournal.com/patrickxpeter/717657.html). The filmschool AU (http://maleyka.livejournal.com/192815.html) always fills me with glee. <3 We even have some super-adorable het! (http://valerie-z.livejournal.com/839220.html) On the more serious side of things, stereomer has some excellent AUs (like godspeed us to sea (http://stereomer.livejournal.com/27224.html)) and her unequivocal (http://stereomer.livejournal.com/25532.html) is all kinds of epic and amazing.
