Music post!

People've been giving me some absolutely fantastic music lately, so I thought I'd return the favour. So here's a quick rundown of some of the awesome stuff I've been listening to lately:

Back From Space by Amon Tobin.

This guy is amazing. I have seven albums of his and each and every one is awesome. This particular track is the first song on 'Our From Out Where', and the beginning makes me think of epic spacescapes and I gave it to [livejournal.com profile] thingswithwings when she was after music the Ancients would have listened to.

At the End of the Day by Amon Tobin.

This is my current favourite of his pieces. Someday I'm just going to have to some free writing to his music, because each of the songs seems to suggest such epic landscapes, and if there's one thing I constantly screw up on it's giving my writing a sense of place.

One Day In My Garden by Amon Tobin.

Last track by him, I swear. This one's from 'Bricolage' which is a more chilled out, jazzy album. This album took me a couple of tries to get into it, but it's quite fantastic, really.

Hold Your Colour by Pendulum.

I'm not massively into Drum and Bass, to be honest, but even in genres I don't like that much there are always exceptions, and Pendulum are definitely that. My sister loves Pendulum ridiculously and has converted me by essentially pinning me down and making me listen; loud and incredibly dance-worthy.

Unspoken by Four Tet.

No idea where I got this one from, but it's long and satisfying and has a really pretty theme running through it.

Acceptable in the 80s by Calvin Harris.

Kinda different to the rest of them, cheerful and makes you want to bop, and I suspect it's one of those tracks you either love or hate. Calvin Harris is incredibly adorable, here's a small sample. I want to cuddle him, but he's actually the tallest thing in the world, so.

I haven't spoken to either of you properly in ages. IT IS TO BE SUCKING.

I have loads of podfics queued, and as soon as the G-ster has disappeared I'm going to get onto that. That and High Fidelity, which I HAVE ALMOST TOTALLY GOT OVER THE BUMP! It's slow going, and it might be a particularly crappy part for you to help me fix, but OH MY GOD I AM SO RELIEVED.
