I'm unimpressed with today - no milk and the bread I bought yesterday was covered with mould, so I've eaten pistachios and I'm drinking herbal tea, which is admittedly a really nice herbal tea. It's raspberry, cranberry and elderflower and it tastes like the hangover stuff which is probably for the best, really. I'm watching due South and putting off the point at which I will have to write porn - I can't fade to black, the porn is necessary to the storyline - and I've just bought a knitting book, an origami book and season 4 of SG:A.

At some point I'm actually going to have to rewatch the end of season 2, and season 3, too.

I've vaguely wanted to do origami since I read Anne McCaffrey's Damia when I was somewhere in my mid-teens - I kind of fell in love with Afra, see. It's like the whole Aziraphale books and tea thing, or the urge to take up singing again every time I read Archer's Goon. (Aaaah, Torquil. ♥). I pick up habits from book characters and patterns of speech from TV and film (thank you kindly, due South.)

How about you?

I forgot my breakfast and thought I'd have to go hungry for my seven hours of work (WOE!), but then my boss decided to throw an impromptu mini-party for our client and sent me on a shopping spree. Now I'm having canapé thingies and fresh rolls with all the cheese and stuff I like best (the advantage of being the one who buys everything). YAY! \o/

I managed to find a slice of bread and an egg, so I made a sort of fried egg sandwich thing that dripped all over me. BEST DAY EVER OMG!

XD

Me tooooo.

I was old enough to go "AUGH SKETCHY" over Afra/Damia, and then set that reaction aside (if grumpily so, because it is) in order to keep reading because apparently the narrative was telling us it was successful and healthy, and MORE AFRA PLEASE.

Um, yes.

It's not just in books - I can be talking to some of my friends and I'll start picking up their vocal patterns (slight accent, sentence construction etc). All v. odd!

*belated HUGS*

(My internet was fried by lightning in the middle of posting them last night. ♥)

And yeeees, I do the same thing. And origami is fantastic - I have an origami calendar at work (you use the previous day to fold today's project, it's awesome) so my desk is littered with little butterflies and tiny hats and other useless things that I can't bring myself to throw away.

I spent the whole weekend at Shore Leave saying "friggin'" for no reason that I can figure out. I've never said friggin' before in my life. I blame Ray.
