Okay, so I've watched Doppelganger (EEEEEEEEEEE!) and now I'm watching Tabula Rasa (BEST OPENING SEQUENCE EVER) and I just. I don't even watch Stargate that often any more, that's the ridiculous thing; I expend all this overblown love on the fandom, and I read the fics, and I don't have time to watch the show, and so when I do - oh man. When I do I am actually wiggling in delight.

Tell me about your favourite episode, or your favourite moment; your favourite line, even. Anything at all. Share the love, man. XD

I have to admit, and I know this makes me a terrible person, that Trio is probably my favourite. Purely for:

"Chicks dig scars."
"Not the chicks I dig."

:D

I love Trio, 'cos Rodney's awesome. Rodney's awesome, and also an arse, and both sweet and not expecting the sweetness of others, and it's a nice little encapsulation of his character. Oh! And the Jon Stewart thing! Another neat encapsulation.

XD

XD This is true. But I feel like most people don't enjoy Trio as much as they should 'cause of the McKay/Keller, which I kind of secretly love. Especially that moment where he's trying to process a hot blonde asking him out and keeps getting OUT OF CHEESE ERROR RESTART UNIVERSE Y/N.

I quite like the mckay/keller - it's subtle, and watching earlier episodes of season 4 you can see her noticing him, seeing his sweeter moments. I have no problems with the way it's being handled at present, and it's not like we were going to get canonical mckay/sheppard so I don't see a problem with it. Keller's kind of adorable.

I like that she's just as much of a dork as he is. And I loved their kiss in uh, that one, where Sheppard goes to the future.

I think most people know we won't get canonical Sheppard/McKay, but you know how fandom can be about someone Interloping in their shipper plots. :D

The last man, which I'm watching snippets of now. Old Rodney makes my heart hurt.

I do know how fandom can be, and I also think that the writers are totally aware of the amount of McSheppers and how important a fanbase that is. I don't think there's a chance of either Rodney or John getting married, I think the chances of John realistically hooking up with someone are slim to none because Joe Flanigan's acting choices are bizarre and wonderful, so I'm okay with a little romance every now and again. Especially because it leads to the writers beating the crap out of McKay's characterisation for cheap laughs sliiiiiightly less. XD

Old Rodney is really really sad. Him teaching at a community college and living in a studio is really, really depressing.

I think you're right about Sheppard, but I think we may see McKay in a reasonably stable but completely offscreen relationship with Keller. :D

I really do wish they'd stop humiliating poor McKay. But then they'd just start humiliating Wolsey...

I like him too, and he seems to be fairly sensible so far -- they've not done too badly by him.

I feel like it can't possibly last.

Favourite opening: Yeah, the opening for Tabula Rasa is pretty cool. (Though I feel I should also give credit to the opening of Adrift, because that's what sucked me in, with no clue what was going on plot-wise.)

Favourite ending: Midway. (Snuffly hand-wavy don't-wake-me-up John. And Ronon's adorable smile.)

Favourite episodes (I have two and you cannot make me choose just one):
1)The Defiant One. (Because Rodney is awesome. And the boys are so cute in the opening sequence, with the flying lesson and the slyly trying to get Elizabeth to let them go down to the planet.)
2)Echoes! (Teyla beating up Ronon for snoring during meditation! Deaf boys! Rodney's Scribble of Doom! Whale dates! ♥!)
(Okay, wait, I lied, I have more than two. But those are my very favourites, so I'll refrain from adding more. :x If you let me run free, I'll babble on forever and we don't want that.)

Favourite Quotes: Rodney's "Invulnerable!" + wiggly fingers from Hide & Seek. And also this whole bit from The Storm:
WEIR: The city can handle that?
McKAY: Yes -- theoretically.
SHEPPARD: Like dinosaurs turned into birds theoretically, or theory of relativity theoretically?
McKAY: What?! Uh, sort of between. Elizabeth -- you take grounding station two; I'll take grounding station one; Major -- you take stations three and four.
SHEPPARD: Whoa, whoa, wait a second -- where are stations three and four?
McKAY (indicating two points on a map of Atlantis): Here, and here. (The two points are at the edge of the city.)
SHEPPARD: And we are ...?
McKAY (indicating a point in the centre of the map): Here, yes. I need to get done quickly so I can start working on the subroutines, and Elizabeth was complaining about her knee the other day ...
SHEPPARD: Wait, wait, wait a second. Are these things even close to a transporter?
McKAY: Uh, yes, Elizabeth's is.
SHEPPARD: And mine?
McKAY: Uh, it's a brisk walk away.
SHEPPARD: And by 'brisk', you mean ... 'far'.
McKAY: By 'walk', I mean 'run'.

See? I can babble on for ages. Oh, show. It makes me wiggle happily, too. :D

Sneaking by from work to throw links at you in lieu of having time to compose coherent thoughts: my reactions to Doppelganger and Tabula Rasa. ♥

(I need foooood. Would be more coherent if I had food!)

Rising. For John's smirk in the gateroom, and the way he moves when he first steps into Atlantis, and the death of Sumner. God.
