Any suggestions welcome. Any. At all.

Oh man, that'd be awesome. I have no idea how I'd go about getting a work visa, though. XD

me, either, but wouldn't it? How long do travel visas last, like 3 months?

I am entirely ignorant.

Man, though, I could totally work for a bit and save some money and then come explore America some.

I was looking at that but I couldn't find info on an age limit - it is aimed mostly at gap year students, so 18/19, which I'm decidedly not. :D

Here's the eligibility requirements for working in the States -- I don't know the specifics of the teacher training programme you did, but I do know that most UK BUNAC people I've spoken to participated after they finished their degree course.

I will ponder other possibilities, in the meantime.

It says you have to actually be a student to do it, though. :/

I did BUNAC when I was not technically a student! The rules may have changed, of course, but as long as you were a student in the calendar year you go, you are eligible. I finshed my degree in the late spring, worked as a temp the rest of the year to get some $$, then went to the UK on like December 30th. I had a crappy New Year's Eve, but at least it was in Trafalgar Square. ;)

Seriously, though, if you do find a job over here and I'm around, I'm willing to move to wherever you need to be in order to shack up wi' ye. :D

Go travelling! There are a bunch of places where, once you're there, it's cheap to live. USA sounds like one given all the sofa offers above. But also SE Asia - I stayed in a place in Thailand that gave us a twin room for 50p a night! Plus the food is fabulous and cheap. I put on like 2 stone. And you'll meet all these interesting people who might give you ideas for what you wanna do afterwards, which you can contemplate in a hammock on a beach...

Travelling. Always gets my vote.
