I agree with the above comment... I think only being able to comprehend/notice the hotness of one of them at a time is clearly the brain's self-defense mechanism. Like the gating mechanism for pain, except for prettiness.

I still have yet to properly hit that stage. Like, objectively speaking, I recognize he is attractive? but I have never looked at him and gone GUH. In fact it honestly never even crossed my mind until my mother and sister came in on me watching an episode and saw him and went DAMN. And I went "what? oh. ..huh, yeah, I guess. Sure."

I love John Sheppard as a character, particularly when he is very gay but full of issues because he is a freak, but he just does not make my heart (or other bits) go pitterpat. go figure! perhaps one of these days.
