Spent the bits of today I wasn't in class sitting on a couch with my student, waiting on his judgement from on high. He's in trouble, we don't yet know how much - it's looking kind of like a scapegoat incident, since he's the sort of student whose name is on everyone's lips, but I wasn't there so I don't know. My boss is taking her time over interviews for new candidates to cover other students, though, so that there'll be a position for me if he does get excluded. I seriously appreciate that.

It's just kind of exhausting, caring and trying so hard to be on someone's side when he keeps shooting himself in the foot. He kept saying he didn't care, adopting a posture, but when no one else was in the room I swear he was close to crying. I love my job, but it makes me tired.

Then there was sugar. And in my house we eat fruit, we eat cereal bars, we eat all organic all the time. Mostly, Smaller and me indulge in a big bar of posh chocolate between us a week. Then at work today it was someone's birthday and I had CAKE and FLAPJACK anna TWIX and HOT CHOCOLATE and I swear I'm still buzzing.

Also 20p just fell out of my head.

Must go nakedify and cleanify now. LOFF YEZ!

My sympathy for you and your student. I hope things can somehow turn out all right for him.

I remember back when I was a vegan, I could get buzzes from a can of coke and half a tablet of dark chocolate. Ah, fun times, fun times.
