Today's been a great day, frankly, from creaking out the door onto undisturbed snow, to almost falling down the steps on my way back in. I did, admittedly, spill jam on the picture that's stuck to the fridge, and got mocked soundly by the senior leadership team for knitting, but I got to spend time with my boycrush who is still very friendly and smiley with me, noticeably more so than with other people. I grin. :D
Other majorly good news today is that I'll now be teaching four hours a week, which is in addition to the support work I already do and paid at a higher rate, so HUZZAH for more money. I'll be taking a smallish group of EAL (English as an Additional Language) students for English; at present they don't know who will be in my group or what I'll be teaching them, and I'm starting next Monday, so it's a bit nervewracking but I'm so up for the challenge.
Getting steadily busier, and resultingly happier. So far, I like this year.
(Oh, and if anyone's been given one too many diaries for Christmas, or knows where I can get a free one - with space enough to write in - lemme know? I have no money but need organisational tools.)

Date: 2009-01-05 05:46 pm (UTC)I had a moment of WTF and then caught up with your LJ. And YES! I would totally pwn that post-apocalyptic commune. We'd be living in luxury. All the other communes would be totally jealous, and we could make them our INDENTURED SLAVES by promising hot running water and leak-free rooves.
Would be obvsy v terrible tho.
