They don't even look just thin, they look deformed. It's just so aggravating that some people don't even question what they are told to consider sexy. RARGH.
That is really really depressing D: and people actually buy them?
What is the POINT of making a "copy" of a famous arty thing if you copy it WRONG and put your own definition of "sexy" on it? BOTTICELLI IS TURNING IN HIS FREAKING GRAVE D: D: D:
I've been reading about horrors of Photoshop (http://jezebel.com/gossip/photoshop-of-horrors/heres-our-winner-redbook-shatters-our-faith-in-well-not-publishing-but-maybe-god-278919.php), but this is just . . . augh!
"Let's rewrite the history of beauty as well as the current reality."
-sighs- She has a point, in her follow-up post, but gah. :( I like renaissance art because I feel it's more representative of how a lot of healthy women look. the conception that healthy = stick thin really bothers me.
That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Even besides the whole stupid body image, "thinner is beautiful" issue, I find this to be like defacing the original work of art. It's degrading in so many ways.
