Found myself a new tarot deck this morning, while faintly hungover and waiting for the rest of the groaning denizens of the house I was staying in to awake. It's instantly bringing the meanings of the cards to mind, unlike my current less symbolism-heavy deck which I mostly know through use rather than helpfulness. Very pleased with that.

Last night I went out for an '80s night. There was fluorescence. And a side ponytail. We will never speak of it again. XD Seriously, awesome fun, loads of lovely people who I've never met before but totally want to meet again, and mutual eyeing up of a rather tasty lady.

And now - well, I woke up at 1 on Friday morning and got to bed at 2 this morning, then woke up again at about 8/9. Now? We nap.

The side ponytail reminded me of this blog (http://whatclaudiawore.blogspot.com/). I read it and think 'oh wow, I would totally wear that'. Then cower and cry as I realise my fashion sense is totally based on on a fictional babysitter.

My favorite deck was a hand produced one made way too many years [30+] ago by a coven in New Mexico, USA. It had no suits and was all face cards. The faces were hand drawn and were things like 'Laugh at yourself - life's funny' or 'nourish' [a large bowl of fruit].

It's all symbolic and talks to me like no other deck ever has.
