Who is Diablo Cody in it? I love the show ridiculously, it just seems to have such affection for every single one of the characters, and I swear that's all you need for a decent show. :D
Oh, no, she's not in it, she's the writer and creator. She also wrote Juno, which I think could have been a cute movie, had it not felt like she spent the whole script name dropping and making pop culture references that will be out of date in a year. XD I was reluctant to watch it because I was afraid she'd do the same thing, but she didn't.
I am genuinely loving it, because it has interesting, consistently characterised and loveable characters, and I just care so much about them that I want to know what happens next. It doesn't have to fight or dance humiliatingly to get my attention, and that's awesome. I'm not fandomy about it, but it's so very worth watching; it affirms my longstanding belief that Toni Collette is AMAZING.
