ALSO! I've totally missed the internet, can you tell?

I dislike the term lurker amnesty, because it does rather imply that lurkers are a Bad Thing, which I in no way believe. But if you ever have wondered quite which post to comment to, or wondered what to say, come say hi! I'm the least intimidating person it's possible to imagine. :D I promise to say hi back, although not within a certain time space. I fail at promptitude.

Hi! I'm Smith. I'm sort of a half-assed lurker, in that I do comment from time to time, but I don't know if you actually have the least idea who I am, other than, perhaps, "that semi-lurker person who sometimes comments."

I think I friended your journal, like, two years or so ago? It was on the strength of some Good Omens fic or other, I'm pretty sure. And since we have a fair bit of fandom overlap - Pratchett, and I read in SGA though I don't participate much; mostly I'm in due South these days - and also your posts are v. entertaining in general, I have kept you friended.

So, um. Hi! *waves*

Hello hello! I definitely remember your name, and thank you for sticking with me through the lack of GO. I respect your fandomly choices completely, you have awesome taste; any new dS recs? The fic does tend to be superlative in that fandom.

(And, dare I ask it, where do you stand on Rays?)

Hee, well, if you want, here's my delicious tag for due South (http://delicious.com/innocentsmith/duesouth). Feel free to poke around - I tend to mostly bookmark fic that I haven't seen recced everywhere else, 'cause, like, I know where Speranza's site is. So there should be something there you haven't read.

And thank you!

(And, dare I ask it, where do you stand on Rays?)

Ahaha. Yeah. Um, short answer: I'm mostly an F/K girl, though I read other pairings when I'm in the mood.

Long, verging on tl;dr answer: F/K OTP 4 EVAH, except for when it's not. I do like Stella and am more than happy to read her with RayK pre-series, and with RayV post-series. I like RayV quite a lot, though the dynamic he has with Fraser doesn't really work for me as a romantic/sexual one, for various and sundry reasons which I recognize to be very YMMV; I do tend to strongly dislike fic that has him being an abusive dick, especially towards Fraser, because it seems so radically out of character. I read a little Ray/Ray, though it bothers me that so much of it is SO angry and/or depressing; I also read some F/K/V, but it often seems kind of evident, in the way many stories with that pairing are written, which relationship is the one the writer is actually interested in, and no matter which pair is the "real" one there, that can be a little uncomfortable to read.

And, in conclusion, I wish it were more possible to talk about Thoughts on Rays without worrying that something's going to explode at any moment.

Hi! *waves*

Your faces of Joe are always brilliant! I'm doing much better at commenting, but thought I'd stop by and say hi anyway. Since you offered. :)

Heee, thank you! I've been feeling steadily less funny over there of late, it's hard sometimes! :D
