I think I've convinced Smaller to take a beginner's course in fencing with me, come June. This is what happens when you leave me alone with Merlin all day, see?

I totally took one of those courses last year. It was pretty awesome. Be warned, though, that fencing suits look good on absolutely no one, and even with them on, getting whapped with a saber hurts. Nonetheless, it is rockin'.

Fencing is awesome! I haven't done it it years and it kind of kicks your ass, but playing with a sword always = awesome!

i was on the fencing team all four years at university, and it is awesome, but i *still* want there to be some kind of swashbuckling team--THAT is what i really wanted to do. (and we did have practices where we ditched the rules and just fought until someone was to bruised and exhausted to stand, which was awesome except that i can really see how ARMOR WOULD HAVE HELPED because getting slapped across the ass with the flat of a sabre? fucking huuurts.) have fun! it will kick your ass, and also give you killer toned legs :)
