Smaller's gone away for ten days, which is... odd. I suspect I won't talk to anyone outside of work for the entirety of her trip. That's kind of sad, huh? I dunno - I don't think I've ever taken active part in making a friend, which is why I'm so pathetically grateful to the people who voluntarily spend time with me in social situations. Ah well, at least I'm being productive today, sorting through all the paperwork on my floor in between disgruntled noises and actions on the part of my poorly ick stomach.

Okay, meme, since I could do with distraction from the paperpile:

Comment with a song you like and I'll upload you something else you ought to. Like on Amazon - if you liked that, you'll like... RICK ASTLEY!

Have I pimped Spotify? 'cos I'll be able to listen to the songs you like due to the wonder that is Spotify; free to download, streaming music from the internets, useful device my little sister munchkin introduced me to. I am very much in favour of it. iTunes, on the other hand, is bad for my wallet when I'm drunk. I apparently get nostalgic and download albums I had when I was 15. XD

Oo, interesting idea. I'll play. "Machete" by Moby, from the album "Play". (No, I don't know why.)

This is a very cool meme! (I will not be able to let you know what I think about whatever you upload until I am home from work . . . but then!)

Um ummmm I like Vienna Teng! A lot! "Drought" is one of my favorites of hers, "My Medea" another one - I am very fond of her creepy stuff.

Listened to a bit of My Medea and this was the first one to come to mind. :)

Universe (http://www.mediafire.com/?fy2zhnmetcm) by Sarah Slean. If you have it, lemme know and I'll find something else.

Am I too late to play? Seagulls, by Great Big Sea

How are you feeling hon?

I'm feeling rotten! And I have no one to give me hugs, so I'm a very sad 'nny.

Also, I cannot find your song on the iTunes store, spotify or youtube! D:

N'aw *pets hair* I'm sending interner hugs, but I suspect this is one of the times they just don't cut it.

GBS are a Canadian folk band- think sea shanties. They are also AWESOME!

I like "God's Gift To Women" at the moment, and "Wolf Like Me" by TV On The Radio

Date: 2009-05-12 03:49 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] villainny.livejournal.com
Okay, this was a really weird choice, but the second half of Wolf Like Me really reminded me of The Beginning is the End is the Beginning (http://www.mediafire.com/?jyyom2zww4g), a b-side by Smashing Pumpkins.

Alternative options were 666Conducer by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Chick Lit by We Are Scientists, which I can upload if you don't like. :)

I do like, so much so that I've had the track for years. I am intrigued by "Chick Lit", though.

The Mountain Goats: If You See Light. I have a slightly worrying tendency to sing it in public places, complete with whistling the trumpet parts.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on this! Spotify's been seriously spotty for a few days, along with my internet connection, and I'm afraid I kinda prioritised downloading Avatar. I am a huss bag.

In Pursuit of Happiness (http://www.mediafire.com/?innnomyzzkn) by The Divine Comedy. Mostly it was the trumpets, I confess. XD Other options were mostly Beirut.
