Poking, prodding, bullying, general arse kicking and smacks up side the head are not only welcomed but positively encouraged at this point. I've written about... 3,000 words today, probably have at least as many to go. I didn't start until midday, so it's not as bad as all that, but I still need to get into gear.

Give yourself a goal!! That's what I used to do, when I had those huge twenty page term papers that wanted to suck my soul dry. I would give myself a goal. Write a thousand words, have some ice cream. Write another thousand words, watch an episode of Stargate. Write another thousand words, go online and buy a song from iTunes. I can't say it'll help your waistline or your pocketbook, but it always worked for me. :D :D :D

As my engineering friends say, procrastination increases efficiency, because you end up doing a ton of work moments before the deadline. So now you should be writing at an amazing speed, right? :D :D
