The wind is quite extraordinary today, blimey. I was determined to take a trip out, because I was shut up the past couple of days making sure I got my [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match fic in on time, so I wandered down to the docks. River docks rather than sea, sadly - I hate living so far inland - but it was blowing wildly enough to catch the tang of salt in the air so it was almost as good. I'd have done some writing if it'd been a little less windy, but my book was a little less of a windcatcher so I read Strong Poison by Dorothy Sayers instead. Might have caught the sun a little, too. I'd have stayed longer but there was a massive bin-on-wheels that got caught by the wind and sailed merrily into the road, so I chased after it and wrestled it back onto the pavement(and out of the path of an approaching car), only to get twatted in the head by the lid when the wind caught it. I kinda got caught under it for a while and had to be rescued by two passing elderly people who helped me pull the lid back down and put the brakes on it and the other two massive bins that were making a break for it. And then my head hurt and I came home.

I am so cool.

At least you had an adventure? And a scene like that can totally go into a story!
